So let me get this straight, immediately after WWII just as the US economy was set to ignite and make the US the greatest economy the world has ever known, the Debt ratio was 106%. Then in 1974, just as the US economy was set to enter the mother of all “malaises”, the Debt ratio was 24%. Are you making the argument that a higher Debt ratio is better?
